Valerie has been invited to perform in outreach programs such as Emerald Coast Music Alliance and Kansas City for All, and she also organized outreach concert series called Musicians' Journey. These outreach programs are created to serve communities who have less access to classical music, and it was one of the most memorable experiences in the journey of being a pianist.
In January 2022, Valerie was the artist-in-residence of Emerald Coast Music Alliance, directed by reknown pianist Alon Goldstein, that is based in Destin, Florida. She performed around 20 concerts in a week, for kids in community schools, students in the university, the elderly in the community homes, and curious community of people living around Destin, Florida. In this opportunity, Valerie did not just perform music, but also engaged in explaining the feeling and expression in the music, shared her story, and sometimes danced with the kids to build the excitement towards classical music.
